Hey all, Webmaster Johnny here.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am the proud owner of an old piece o' junk auto. Sure sure, some might say it's a classic, but that implies former owners haven't used it for off road entertainment or pulling a motor-home up a mountain. I don't actually know for sure that the people who previously enjoyed my ride did so with it, but it sure seems like it some times.
Now it turns out I am not alone in my wondrous experience with previously enjoyed autos. When I was sitting over at a buddies house having a few barely pops, I was bemoaning that I really should get working on the old sled and see if I can get it back up to being slightly less than “an eyesore”. My buddy Tim also pointed out that he too had a formerly enjoyed pile of rust and tires. I asked him to show me and he told me it was parked next to mine in the driveway.
Huh?
Ok, so a '78 Plymouth Volare isn't exactly a car to brag about, but his looked pretty good. So I am gonna try to talk him into writing some stuff for the blog about restoring old cars, and I will try to cover keeping the beater out of the scrap heap (if all goes well and the barley sodas hold out).
More soon. Stay tuned!
