Whups, forgot a link for ya.

Hey all, Johnny here again, I screwed up and forgot to post the link for ya in the last post.

If you drive an older car like Johnny's Heap O Rust, you either already know about JC Whitney, or you need to. This is like a toy catalog for us old guys; all kinds of weird after market parts you don't see in other places and a lot of body repair parts you need but never seem to be able to find. If you ever wanted to put a RV style sunroof in your Dodge Dart, they have em. If you want a musical air horn that plays Dixie, so you can paint your car up like the General Lee, they have that too. Give em a look and see if the parts you need for your 1941 one off are in there, you never know.

Tell 'em Johnny sent ya! They won't care though, just so you know that.

The MarbleMobile need a little pick me up... What do you think? Too much?

Hey all, Webmaster Johnny here.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am the proud owner of an old piece o' junk auto. Sure sure, some might say it's a classic, but that implies former owners haven't used it for off road entertainment or pulling a motor-home up a mountain. I don't actually know for sure that the people who previously enjoyed my ride did so with it, but it sure seems like it some times.

Now it turns out I am not alone in my wondrous experience with previously enjoyed autos. When I was sitting over at a buddies house having a few barely pops, I was bemoaning that I really should get working on the old sled and see if I can get it back up to being slightly less than “an eyesore”. My buddy Tim also pointed out that he too had a formerly enjoyed pile of rust and tires. I asked him to show me and he told me it was parked next to mine in the driveway.

Huh?

Ok, so a '78 Plymouth Volare isn't exactly a car to brag about, but his looked pretty good. So I am gonna try to talk him into writing some stuff for the blog about restoring old cars, and I will try to cover keeping the beater out of the scrap heap (if all goes well and the barley sodas hold out).

More soon. Stay tuned!

First Post

Howdy all, Johnny here.

Just a quick first post to be sure everything is set up and working like it should be. This will be a place for me to talk about keeping that old beat up ride of yours going for a little while longer.

If you are like me, with times like these, you are probably gonna drive the family grocery getter a few more years, and I hope to have some articles on keeping that beast on the road til you find something better. Hey, we might even spice it up a little along the way too!
